Dr. Albino Maggio holds a Master Degree in Agronomy from the Frederico II University in Naples and a Ph. D in Horticulture and Molecular Biology of the Purdue University, USA. He is a professor at the Agronomy and Agricultural Engineering Department of the University of Naples and National Expert to the European Commission (EU). He is specialized in abiotic stress tolerance of agricultural crops and adaptation to climate change and resource limiting environments. He served as panel member in the evaluation of many European Research Projects and as referee for the USDA/CSREES/NRICGP (United States Department of Agriculture) and many scientific journals. He has published over 100 papers in refereed journals, conference proceedings and specialized literature.
